Fifteen angels were collecting souls Much as these hockey players collected goals Fifteen angels more to protect the ones Whose time down here still wasn’t done. Canada mourns the loss of these young men Their families are grieving for these young men. Those of us left don't know what to say So we fall to our knees and humbly we pray. We pray for healing for the families who mourn We pray that you see the rose in the thorns. This loss is not yours all alone to bear We’re here as a country to show you we care.
