Homeless
Through the eyes of a homeless man.. Walk the streets by day.. Walk the streets by night.. At sunrise early in the morning.. Sunbeams glow so brilliantly across the blue sky.. People sleeping peacefully.. In much comfort.. At home.. No longer do I feel safe, secure and warm.. A home I no longer have.. I tremble.. I feel a cold chill down my spine.. People headed to their destination.. Going about their own business.. As people walk this busy avenue.. They walk by and stare.. A look of complete and utter disgust.. A smile no longer exists in my homeless world.. I sit on the cold hard ground.. Temperature drops drastically.. As the sun sets.. Darkness has arrived.. Shivering I am.. Wearing my old torn sweater.. Ripping at the seams.. A flood of memories return.. Happier times existed.. Had a marriage.. Had a wife.. Had children.. Lovely home.. All gone.. As quick as a heartbeat.. I sulk in my own stew.. It is all I can do.. Hunger pains I feel.. Thirsty I am.. Need to quench my thirst.. As dehydration sets in.. I rub my eyes.. A teardrop gently falls down my cheek.. Sadness has thrust upon me.. Like a volcano erupting A kind women hands me a tissue.. I wiped my tears.. A kind women hands me a warm coat.. I wore this warm coat.. No longer do I feel a cold chill down my spine.. A kind women hands me Food and drink.. No longer do I feel hunger pains.. No longer do I feel thirst.. I have quenced my thirst.. The tears I shed now.. Are tears of joy.. I knew she was my angel.. God from up above.. Had sent her here..
