Lullaby In the Sunset
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ O my dearest love! Of days lost in the wood, your perfume lingered, stood, held by the stillness of the night. A lullaby in the sunset, sleep tight. O my dearest love! Your perfume set my loins afire, twas sometime before it led the way. Held by the stillness of the night. Lullabies in the sunset, sway, it guided us till the light of day. O my dearest love! Now memories of that night of bliss, back then and now sealed with a kiss, That perfume, you use it still. A memory, yes? But still, it a thrill! More lullabies in the sunset A Nightingale's sweet triil! O my Dearest love! My Dearest Darling love! True to each other, life has been kind. We walked that wooded path blind. The aromas we disturb, there's one, yours It's lingered as has our love, firmly. The path, it led us to our final destiny. Yet your perfume lingers on, no pause. A lullaby in the sunsets of time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3/8/18 Lullaby in the Sunset contest, sponsored by Vermillion Scythe
