Troubled Tides

Like the tides, he was always coming and going every day, every month, every year.
He got lonely, always coming and going, never staying in the same place, so he made
riptides to try to fill the hole in his heart. When he did, the creatures always tryed to fight
back and this made him feel rejected so he slowly but steadily withdrew himself from land
into the icy recesses of his heart. Then as the sun started to warm up and the people and
creatures of the earth started yearning for him and his life he drew once again back to land
where all welcomed him back gratefully, and he felt at home. As always though he couldn't
stay because the sun, his greatest friend started to go away, he followed and retreated back
tired and spent. Just like the moon that controlled him, he was always waxing and waning,
so for time immimorial he was doomed to never be quite at home.
