An Alaskan Adventure

I was wandering in the jungles of Alaska; I went skydiving there but instead of landing on the site I landed in the forest. As time passed, I was keen to know how it was to have an adventure in the evergreen world of nature in Alaska. It was a challenge to live there as there was a lack of food and shelter. I was feeling panicked and frustrated and thinking about how to survive. I even lost my phone while landing. so I couldn't even contact anybody.

Somehow, I found some fruit-bearing trees. I ate berries from the trees and drank water from the river. I managed to make myself a little shelter from branches of trees and leaves as well. I had some matchsticks in my emergency bag so I burnt a fire and made myself warm. I saved some charcoal to light up the fire for further days too. I managed to do so for a few days. every day, I would climb up the trees, and using my red scarf I would wave in the air hoping a helicopter would see me and pick me up.

One cold day I was resting in a cave I found and lit up a fire there. I was just eating some berries and found out I was not the only one to be there, a bear who got disturbed by me in his hibernation attacked me, I was terrified and I ran, I got hurt but managed to save myself. All my berries got squashed when I was running out and I had the whole night in front of me a not a single bite of food in my bag. I walked n the night of the full moon with my heart in my mouth.

what Hungry and thirsty I continued to walk with bruises all over my body. Suddenly, I heard noises. it was – “HUMANS” I wondered how there can be a house in a forest!!! I went to the house and knocked on the door. A man opened the door I introduced myself and asked for help, the man replied that the house was for the people lost in the jungle. He let me in warmly. I saw there were 5 people in the house already. I was sharing a room with a girl named Carmen. The room I was staying in was small but cute. I was also excited to have a roommate.

She was friendly and helped me to bandage my wounds and brought me food. we ate food as we chatted, luckily turned out we both had a lot in common. Then we slept as I was really tired and so was, she, I was feeling so comfortable as there was a soft bed instead of hard rocks under my back. It all continued for 2 days. Carmen and I became besties. We also went to explore the forest one day and she was an expert. Now I was feeling better and I was ready to go home.

They called the helicopter for me, I was finally going home, to France. I was relieved and was bursting with happiness but will never ever forget this adventure and survival. but especially my bestie Carmen.
