My new contest is an attempt to give homage to the Easter Season & to those of the Christian persuasion who worship Jesus, as God's son, and Mary as Jesus' mother. So many of you here at soup seem to? I feel as if you see and hear and touch Jesus in your daily lifes and it is a very pure, sweet, and important occurrence to you. That is what I want you to write about ...

        When have you seen Jesus?
        Where did you see Him?
        Have you ever spoken to OR has Mother Mary ever helped you?

I am NOT making light of this. I believe all of this to be happening everyday. Our God is with us always, inside & out. Write about this for me please.

Sometimes I see God's face in the trees, in the clouds, in a babies smile,

some of you must have the same experiences? Yes? No?

Everytime I had my ultrasound done and I was carrying baby Christina,yep,used to see her moving..and growing slowly inside of me..Then when She was born,A miracle of life,Yes I saw Jesus there.Everytime I can t accept some fact in my life story..I pray to God to help me accept what I cant change and help me love.,Help me reconciliate with past happenings.There is the moment I see God ,helping me out.I see God in mother nature,I feel God when I give and share,even when I forgive or be forgiven..I see feel God in all beautiful things .As a human its so easy for me to be captivated by both good and evil.Deb..This week is going to be a difficult one.My inlaw's heart bypass on Wednesday..So I wont write for contest but powerful blog

No one needs delete any comments, I do NOT think faith or a belief in God is silly or foolish, not at all, I do not believe man to be the ONLY intelligence in the Universe or Universes OR the highest intelligence. Chris is just being his usual mocking self. If we are made of God stuff, if god is inside and outside of all creation then maybe you are eating God in the fiddlehead. Chris write of your own trials and tribulations in regard to higher power.

People have said..."You can't PROVE God exists." It takes FAITH...to believe in creation by a Supreme BEING...or in evolution. Both cannot be PROVEN. Personal experience cannot be refuted. THAT is where the answer lies. No one, but NO ONE, can argue with....God spoke to me...I felt His presence...the Holy Spirit guided my steps. THAT you are agree or disagree with, but you can't PROVE or DISPROVE! I'd rather believe in a Creator God who fashioned, molded, and created me for a PURPOSE! Just think...the end of this is ETERNAL life...free of heartache, pain, and death...The end of the other systems of belief...SOME...is DEATH..period...or another form of life..perhaps lower.

Deb....we all know our bodies act like a living battery....receiving and emitting energy from and to...the universe...my Pop believed in this power-source...as many do...acting on this by peacefully saying the rosary daily...asking Mother Mary's intercession in causes of interest to him...often...I recall instances whereby seemingly impossible outcomes benefitted those in his prayers...leaves one shaking their head...and falling to their knees in thanksgiving...jimbo

And of course Debbie as being a Christian is a personal relationship with Jesus(see Revelation 3:20) then it is 'two-way' as is any other,talking together back and forth one to to the other .So 'signs' can be of manifold kinds & evidence thereof,and... like all relationships will depend on how close it is.My wife and I have been married 53 years and sometimes can communicate or come to same conclusions , without words.Rgds Brian

We ask for signs how many signs must we be given? The sun shines on us? We are given plants and animals to share with, we have ourselves & our families, we have a world, how many signs of higher power do we need?

Just read your bio again...How happy you must be to be a published poet, my dear Debbie. I'm so so proud of you!!! :) I did a haiku trilogy recently...Would you kindly give it a read and see if I've improved any? It's called Honeysuckle something or other...and it does say Haiku Trilogy. I did stick to nature themes, did the traditional 5-7-5...I know modern haiku don't need to be that way, but it just keeps me feeling....comfortable. Don't know if that last line has that turn or not..Please...advize...HUGS

Hi, Debbie! This is sweet of you. :) You are a dear. It's one thing to believe and quite another to LIVE what you believe. THAT is where the struggle lies..at least in my heart! May I enter a poem...from an earlier time...a time when the relationship was vibrant and strong? ;) He never lets go of our hands...we do the letting go...for various reasons, but I digress...So, mother may I? It hasn't been entered into a contest, but I have posted it on the soup, and I don't think you've read it...HUGS

No matter what contest I have at least 6 people will write about their relationship with Jesus & now they are being asked to & mum's the word? Write of how spring makes you understand the renewal of life Andie, how rebirth comes to all through belief

Debs, I can see what you are saying. I think the contest just needed a little clarification. If I were a more spiritual type, I would easily do your contest. I suppose I could write about seeing God in my doggy's unconditional love for me? Would that count?
