Prayers for Moonbee

I just found out a few days ago that my good and cherished friend Moonbee Canady has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has already had one operation (a Lumpectomy) and is due to go back for another operation in a few days. It runs in her family…Her mother and sister both died of this dreaded disease and of course, she has always been at high risk as well. She says it was caught early so that is a good sign but this need for a second operation worries me a little…
This hits me especially hard, especially for Moonbee’s sake but also because I am very familiar with this type cancer. My mother died from it in 1955 back when they did not have today’s technology. Of course, she discovered it too late and never stood a chance. My sister and niece are at high risk too but thankfully, they are both very diligent about check-ups, etc. Also, my youngest daughter is a double mastectomy survivor
I humbly ask that anyone who reads this blog, whether you know her or not, to please leave a comment and prayers. I have her permission to post this, so I’m sure she will be reading. It would help her SO much to know that she has a lot of friends behind her praying for her and wishing her well.
Moonbee is one of a kind. She is a beautiful, funny, positive and vibrant lady and this old world would DEFINITELY be a lesser place without her graceful presence….I KNOW SHE WILL BEAT THIS!!

Hello Everybody & first of all I want to say THANK YOU ALL! Your prayers helped. I had my lumpectomy surgery Wed. 9/25/2013 & everything went well (now, the procedure I had to have before the actual surgery was very trial-some They had to put needles in my left bosom and then put wire into the hollow needles (all while I was woke & had to stand on my feet (2 hrs) while the specialist was below breast poking & positioning for better x-rays -whew! I had a Christian nurse in the room. She helped me greatly. Very kind manner. After they had my breast wired to show surgeon where to remove the cancer. Oh & they didn't have to take much of me. Now, I'm recovering, Again Thank you All ... MoonBee

Oh GOD!! Your kindness brought me to tears (joyful ones tho') And I feel so blessed right now, just for reading all the heartfelt prayers & wishing me well (This is the week I'll have another oper.) & so, I've been a tad stressed, but after reading my fellow poets' kind words of encouragement, I feel absolutely a triumph coming on! My GOD is with me as always & my family (my sister has been a bulwark) & close friends and those (you guys) whom I have yet to meet face to face ... Poets have sensitive souls, such a love of life and all things beautiful. So sorry that your friend is going through this, Tim...God is the great Physician...I know that He will hear the prayers of those who lift her up to Him...He will work in her life and give her what she needs at this particular moment in time. Thanks for sharing your concern and heart. Remember, as it says in James, "the prayer of the righteous man is powerful and effective." We are righteous when He covers us...so we should pray boldly...He hears.

Thank you, Tim, for letting us know. Many heartfelt thoughts and prayers are reaching out to Moonbee....I hope she can feel the love wrapping around her during this difficult challenge. And yes.........SHE WILL BEAT THIS!! love like this will give her the strength to win !! God Bless you Moonbee!

I don't know Moonbee, but this is a terrible thing for anybody to have to go through. My prayers are with you, Moonbee. YOu caught it early. That is something. May God see you through this. Luv, Andrea

I am sad for your friend MoonBee, my newest sweet friend. your a true friend Tim, for posting and letting us know how she is. She is in my prayers... I met her, and she is wonderful, and from what I hear lives, almost 2 hours away. I wish to meet her one day. She stopped by page with her lovely heart recently. thank you for introducing her to ME.. I am so sorry that your friend must face this and I will keep her in my prayers until she is well again. My daughter will be having a colon cancer operation on the 25th of this month. She has been on chemo and radiation and we are praying that she will beat it also. Love, Joyce
