A Moment Of Truth

A dark place
An empty space.
I'm covered in womb's.
Surrounded by an empty room.
Invisible demons and goons.
Speaking through the walls.
Speaking through the bed frame.
Workers of the devil
Getting off on my pain.
Searching for the words
Of a story unexplained.
Shadowed by the clouds and rain.
What my life became.
Voices echoing in the night.
Cruel, ugly, and unseen.
I wish it was a nightmare.
I wish it was a dream.
I really wish it wasn't
As bad as it seems.
Haunted by a loneliness.
Followed by a broken heart.
My child and dreams snatched.
My life torn apart.
Where is all this coming from?
Why did it have to start?
Praying to God for a healing.
Till infinity I'm scarred.
I've travelled a million miles.
Still I haven't found rest.
Folks ask me how I'm doing.
I no longer say I'm blessed.
I look at them with lack of trust.
Because, of all the mess.
Waiting on an answer.
For someone to confess.
"They say that money
Is the root to all evil".
Tell that to my enemies.
Whose intentions for me were never good.
Emotionally or mentally.
I could cry oceans
But, still, God is watching me.
How do you sleep at night?
Honestly, and sincerely.
