Curiosity

A fascinating reality
my soul seems to dig up
from the valley of the desire to know –
The obsession of inquisitiveness:
How that all things are segregated
by the malleable wall of curiosity

There is a fraction of things in the world
labeled all over with “stop”
My heart must no longer crave
Or seek to understand;
Oh son of man, flee for your life
‘Twas curiosity that killed the cat

But you say, how about these?
Can my thirst, not some answers get?
Oh really, my friend:
take a step or two but not three
Lest you weary your spirit
And curiosity may just kill the cat

The earth in its fullness
perhaps leaves us some choice
Only look around with a bigger lens
and you would stumble on such entities
where questions can spread some more
For curiosity may never kill this cat

I consider thy works
O lord of the universe
And behold, an unraveling:
The clinging of the discerning
to what must be searched out
Yea, curiosity will never kill this cat

So, learn the meaning thereof
and follow the path of the elders
For there are ways that seem right
Indeed some are; but some are not
And others ask for caution
So go with wisdom
on the path of curiosity
