The Mirror In The Room

This room is built for one
that's in my point of view,
it's small and like a box
so I couldn't fit in two.
I sit here by myself
forced to stare into a mirror
nobody stands behind me;
no, it's the man in front I fear.
No distractions from myself
no, I can't forget about me
that man behind the mirror will not be
leaving here without me.
I scan avoiding eye contact
I think he starts to doubt me.
I look in, he looks back;
epitome of outreach.
This man I grew to be
is a man I'm left to blame
now I'm scarce and left with me;
I'm left with him as well today.
No internet connection
and that doorbell never rang
I say to my reflection,
"you're the only man that came."

    I like this piece. You looked deep within; your bag of tricks and pulled out creativity. Good write.
