Bedtime Stories

Dark trees hover over me.
I’m left in the woods.
Sounds and even owls, don’t lighten the mood.
Lost with my map, I cry, I pant.
Looking left and trying to find the right path.
Somebody save me, there is something lurking behind me.
It’s creeping and crawling and it’s right there! It surprised me.
It grabs a hold of me tightly, and speaks into my ear.
“ Goodnight my sweet darling, the morning will soon appear."
