letter To My Granddaughters
Today I am taking some time, even though it's coming short.
I think I still have sometime to write this words to you.
So Granddaughters listen well. These words are meant for you.
When you were little - I loved you and always looked out for you.
As you were growing up, my love was growing with you. Soon we
were to seperate. I moved to another state. You were left with your
mother, she was to take care of you.
When I saw you again - you were older and it brought tears to my
eyes, to see that two of you had a baby at a very young age. You
were not married and that was a disgrace.
I tried to give you all advice on how to live your lives, but you had your
own ideas on what life was all about. You went on doing your own thing
and made your big mistakes.
Now you are all grown up and have kids of your own. Teach them not to
make the same mistakes that you made in your life. Your mistakes won't
make you bad, but learning from them, can make yiu better.
life is more than having a good time. It's about being responsible and doing
what is right. Teach your kids about God and also the values of life. I know
that I am not perfect and I don't pretend to be, but I did try to be the best
that I could be.
You might think that it's no one's business to tell you what to do, but I am
your grandmother and I have a bind with you. I think I have earned that
right - don't you? Life is full of choices, it is now up to you...
