Softly I Await Longing For Your Kiss

Softly I await longing for your kiss
I sit beside myself but my heart is amiss
Asking my shadow how long must I wait
He laughs and replies Its just your fate
As like a desert thirst my soul is dry
But my counterpart is wet with a lie
I try to move but the body is weak
I need on kiss to quench my beak
She is gone and I'm here in the sun
My partner in crime just smiles at the fun
Nothing quells not water or even wine
This friend next to me speaking has crossed the line
When will you come back your love is in need
This mirrored specter lives on my grief in greed
As he dissipates my consciousness does clear
Losing you forever is my deepest darkest fear
I sit beside myself but my heart is amiss
Softly I await longing for your kiss
