not fate

Look at me, no more a teen.
Wild and free, making up me.
Been through the ringer, on the bottom
Always aware, shining like the Sun.
What was I thinking, what did I know.
Always the pawn, in someone else's show.
Vision comes clean, problems recess,
knowing that I could make it out from my
Holding the key to the garden door,
looking to me for flowers and more.
I am the light, the warm that they seek. It
is so true, blessed are the meek.
For unknown to them, gifts held inside.
So many behind, along for the ride.
Have to step up, stance at the plate.
Realize it's in yours not the hands of fate.

Nice write, but I am all for fate. Before an action you must have a thought, and no one is responsible for their thoughts. that is fate. Enjoyed the read....Peter
