Windmill

My heart was stopped beside the mill,
Waterfalls, empty pail
Beyond the barn, in the grim shadows
Bottled like a plan with no purpose
Broken glass under each stone
The wind blew dark raven plumes

The floor with no sign or face
Waterfalls, empty pail
A wide shade appears,
Grey shadows crossing beyond the barn
Blood drips from each wind generator blade
Stoned with no drift

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

The gloomy feelings of your heart and mind appear to be dominating all over this lovely sad write dear friend. A full 7+ for this beautiful but sad write. If it's a reflection of some disturbing feelings I would pray that you recover, as after darkness the dawn of hopes lies just ahead of you. Love and best wishes Sandy..Ravindra K Kapoor

The abstruse emotions that breathe darkly in this poem make me feel sensitive to storm in your heart Sandy. "The wind blew dark raven plumes..." Mmm...electric weather therein. I enjoy the undefined pressure in this poem...J.A.B.

SandyIvy, Thank you for thinking I need a cold shower. HaHa. Stopping by to read your suicidal poem. Joking, I love the dark imagery going on. I have two ways interpreting this poem. At first I thought the Grim reaper came to collect you and take you home after a countryside heart attack OR this poem reads a painful heartbreak that can't pass on. Anyway, whichever it is. IT's freaking awesome. Love SKAT
