We've got a groovy thing goin'

Who needs a your highness or sire?
Hillary and Jeb should retire
Though them we can chuck
The needle is still stuck
As behind the curtain’s a liar!

Author's note: Title inspired by Simon and Garfunkel's song. For a dose of the 60's check it out--fun.

I came to your page yesterday by clicking "READ" but this got bypassed... Nice to see loyal taxpayers taking the moral highground in a fun way, Duke. How about those who do the same but are the first to lap it up when they are the beneficiaries?:)

Poli-ticks! Same kind of parasites which plague us when we hike in the woods. Squish 'em all! Whoops, got a little carried away there. Dig your groove Duke! j

Duke, you are a master at witty limericks, little gems you pen for us, with great whimsy but with a serious theme also, wonderful gift that I appreciate because I am terrible at limerick but give me a sad poem to write and I am in my place, a poet meant to write of sadness but once in a while I will write happy, just not often

Terry, where I work we talk about the fact we're going to need sunblock 2,000,000! Yes, we are seeing the results of an exponential population curve on top of a culture that enables consumption to the max. Mother Earth is in tears. We can't squeeze water from a stone, and there is just so much denial. I don't have high hopes, but I also try to enjoy what I can every day. This site (including you) is one of the bright spots.

... ... but whoever we get we may end in a sweat neath the flames of a nuclear fire ... Nice poem, Duke... maybe not so funny... we're living in tough times
