Bloggers PhotoHello there and hello,
Heres a little bit about me :)

Born in south London in 1975, to a single mum who struggled everyday, my father didn't want to be a father and decided to leave my mum at 19 years of age on her own. My step dad came into my life when I was 3 and raised me as his own and my mother and step dad went on to have 4 more children, we lived in a 2 bedroom'd flat right by the river Thames on an estate until I was 17.
went on to have a child myself at 20 and my child's father decided he wasn't ready to be a daddy, so he left me to struggle, do you see a pattern here? ;)
Been through a roller-coaster of a ride, with underlying ADHD, I struggled and had a breakdown when my daughter was 7, abusive relationship's, drinking and drugs have surrounded me all of my life.
Am very happy and proud to say that the last 6 years of my life have been amazing, I have met a wonderful man, had two more children, still in touch with my eldest who is one of the most understanding young lady's ever! so proud of her and so very grateful to her dad for finally stepping up and looking after her when i couldn't, I look back now and see how scared he was when we first had our daughter.
now I am at a point in my life where I am finally diagnosed with adult ADHD, combined type and currently on trail with medication, I have found poetry a huge help, I had all this stuff inside me just wanting to burst out and didnt even know how to let it out, and a very good and wonderful human being, called Jan, put me on to this site and boy do i love it!!!!! Ill llok forward to reading as many poems as I can, sometimes getting 10 mins to my self is a little difficult with two young children but I have found a new love, writing poems :)
Thank you for taking the time to read this, god bless
Maxine xx
