Since she was born on June 8, 1994 in Moose Factory, ON, Marissa Faries has grown up a lot. She is the firstborn and was an only child for eleven years. Marissa now has a younger sister and a baby brother of great age differences from her own. Her own beloved parents had been married for thirteen years, but had separated in the fall of 2011. Though her parents are separated, her both sides of her family are extensive and still loving.
Marissa Faries has faced loneliness as well as formed an inner strength for herself. Her loneliness, however, has inspired her to write poetry. It was when she was 12 years old that poetry became a way of filtering her feelings of anger, depression, envy, and loneliness. She's especially felt lonely because of being bullied in middle school. Marissa had also and still experiences long-distance absence with her best friends. Sometimes she would even feel ignored by her own father's family at times. Another reason she was lonely, was because of having no siblings for so long---no one to grow up through childhood with.
Nowadays though, her life is better than it was long ago. She is is an euphoric and independent individual. She realized she was bisexual at the age of 13 after having done research on the Internet. Her first kiss was with a girl on December 11th, 2010. Her first boyfriend was met in September 2012, but now she has broken up with him.
Throughout her life she was also quite an academically-inclined student. She had seizures in young childhood, so a doctor recommended her parents to read to her every night and day. It was thanks to her parents reading stories to her, that she fully developed her imagination, reading, and comprehension. In school, Marissa persevered through a couple of subjects and excelled in some. She's still a very smart lady.
Having successfully graduated elementary school and high school, she is currently enrolled in Centennial College in Toronto, ON. She is still not sure what to do with her life, but is sure eventually she will find it. Right now she is succeeding in her classes. She may graduate in April 2013, if under the right conditions.
Other than her education and personal background, Marissa's main interests and hobbies are eclectic. She loves astrology, watching anime, reading manga, writing stories, listening to trance and techno music, and making anime wallpapers. Marissa also enjoys beading (especially with pony beads), drawing, colouring, video editing, and photography. Her other hobbies are video games and watching movies, but she particularly enjoys these with friends. Her favourite sports are swimming and badminton.
