What If Tomorrow Never Comes

We always wake up every day, to see a new day.
What if there is no tomorrow?
Then it means, today would have being our final day to make things right.
So what about the plans we had for tomorrow?
It means, whatever we planned to do will becomes pointless.
But then, will we still the face our plight?
Yes! We will.

So who, who do you want to blame?
Friends, society, parents or time?
I think it will be late for us to be looking for someone to blame?
But then, we will only have ourselves to blame and not time.
Because time they say, waits for no man.
And procrastination as we all know, is a thief of time.
I think you even did the conclusion for me?
So why, why do you know and still miss the chance you had today?
Or did you ever thought that chance will be knocking on your doors again?
No, it takes only a miracle.
That is why I always say,
If we ignore the title of kinship today,
Then let us forget about getting it back again.
Because we may delay, but time will never lay.
So let us grab any opportunity that comes our way today,
Because tomorrow, might not be our day.

Many do not know,
That, the difficulties we face tomorrow, mostly has it root to be today.
That is why Abraham Lincoln once said,
‘We cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today’.
So let me tell you, it is always easier, to edit, what has been written, than to
Write, what has not being started.
That is why it will be necessary to make what we wish for tomorrow,
Be our priority for today.
And should only think of tomorrow, if we couldn’t achieve our target after
The end of the day.

It is wrong, totally wrong to blame yesterday, if only you have today.
And is never wrong to plan for tomorrow.
But I think if you truly want to accomplish your goals, you must engulf yourself in today.
Have you forgotten?
That someday, you said you’d do it yesterday,
Yesterday, you said you’ll do it today.
Today came, and you’ve pushed it to tomorrow,
So it is likely tomorrow, you’ll shift it to someday.
So please, why don’t you do it now.
Or before you realize, you’ve lost your crown.

But have you ever woke up, and planned of making
Today the best day in your life?
No! Why should we even think of that?
Why, is tomorrow not there for us?
So you see, that is the mistake you’ve being making all this while.
To wait till tomorrow, to attend to the urgent demands of today.
So what if today is your time, and not tomorrow?
I know we can’t answer, because we will never know.

But I will tell you,
Your later may be late.
And the future belongs to those who prepare for it today.
So once again, let us grab every opportunity that comes our way,
Because tomorrow, might not be our day.
What if tomorrow never come?
I think is a question we have to always ask.

Ghana Needs Peace

It is the home truth, that only, a twerp and a divvy honors and praises war.
So I think, is time, the nation sends the message of war around to let it reach all.
For war becomes rife in every nooks and cranny of our lives during election.
As the people forgets that, they make up the nation.
But since I know war is futile, then hear my homily,
That I wish it creeps and crawls to all the parties and every family.
To do nothing but to chastise and lambaste before Ghana experience any tragedy.

Oh!
What a cruel thing war is,
To fill our heart with hatred instead of love for our neighbors.
So eventually, we make them become enemies to us.

But it seems war will always reign,
All because, some leaders has lost the morality of being content.
And our support for them makes we fight to vanquish for the vanity and triviality
All in the name that, we were sent.

Hmm, no wonder we’ve accepted to opt for vindictiveness,
Against the act of forgiveness.
And out of this, we launch a venomous attack to harm, hurt and butcher our fellow,
And all the praises we get is helping our natives not to see tomorrow.

But I don’t know, if Ghanians also know,
That war is catastrophic and has a pernicious effect on our future generation.
All because as a result of the combat, our country and the nation experience destruction.
And this makes our homes and property tumble.
But in the end, we will all be responsible for the cause of the trouble.
For war has fooled us and has made us lost,
Because after the destruction, we will end up bearing that future cost.

In peace, sons bury their fathers, but in war, mothers bury their sons.
So what at all is beautiful and lucrative about the war that we fight?
That mankind forget his senses and fight and even die for.
But is so funny, that after the destruction and distortion we reason,
That we’ve being doing nothing beneficial but was just be fooling for that season.

But for now, the nation should be ready to educate the untutored about the futility of war.
So that we can put an end to war before war put an end to us.
But if we are ready to make the power of love overcome the love of power,
Ghana, my motherland will know peace and be harmonious forever.
But if we fail to end war, war will surely end us.
War is futile so I preach about the futility of war.
So that, our motherland can live forever.
LONG LIVE GHANA!!!!!!!!!

Truth Untold

Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty, compassion and truth
Against injustice, greed and lies
If people all over the world will do this
It will change the earth and make it a better place till death
So it is time to fulminate every sector involved
To detest lies and embrace nothing but the truth
Charity they say begins at home
So you are the perfect people to know our guardians
But you've chosen to be abettors
Because of the truth you failed to tell us
All because of the love you claim to have for us
So instead of you to go ballistic for 0ur wrongs
You rather sing to us praises in the form of songs
But it will be good for you to denigrate
So that we don't become useless sake of your ways
For truth without love is brutality
And love without truth is hypocrisy
And to my politicians
You are treacherous in personality
And that has even change your identity
But now we are fed-up with your posturing
That you pass on to every generations offspring
Because the sweet words you told them were always dubious and ostensible
As they never represented a palindrome
So now we are satisfied with your chicanery
So I suggest you ignore your casuistry and tell us the truth
For the truth that is told with bad intent
Beats all the lies than you invent
Greetings religious leaders
Why do you depart from your quality of candor
Because you now hide the truth about the sordid behavior of your members
And your doctrines you've perverted to make it soft and suitable
Just because of your deceitful act
But it is time you are to be traduced
Because you have deviated from what you really represent
In analogy with you actions in the present
Please change your ways to rejig our religion and make it once again sacred
You dwellers of the society
You have failed to say sake of deception
So you prove they nail a lie
Unless when they die
But be confident to tell your natives
Tell them if they go imbecile and chooses a wrong path
And let them know their action is that of sociopath
I know we have internalize the act of lies
But we should be able to praise decency and criticize immorality
To revamp our society and make it a better place to dwell
To end the ubiquitous spread of lies
We should continue to reiterate till we hear the truth
Even if takes to bludgeon
Or if possible a bloodshed
But let's be frostily if being friendly can't bring the changes we seek
To help save the situation before it becomes bleak
Because truth need so little rehearsal
Than a lie that need several practical

Never Say Never

There are moments when troubles enter our life’s
And we can do nothing to avoid them
But the one's we can
They look convoluted unless we demystify
But we think they are byzantine
As we think the mysteries in them can never be find
Nothing is insuperable
So let us not always be cantankerous about the conditions in life
Because life has greater things to offer
That when the time comes, we ourselves will even wonder
To my fellow youth that are upcoming
Persistence is a great substitute for talent
So never be abated by the constant failure that come your way
But focus on how to drive your sorrows and worries away
For it is this situation that makes we go intoxicated to be incapacitated
But let feisty be our portion
To help us deprecate failure
And continue to grapple for success
But if only the poor will hear me
The height by great men reached and kept were not attain in sudden flight
But while their companions slept, they were toiling upwards in the night
Our incipient are never the same
So never think you are ineffectual to be rich
But for now be content with the tiddly wages you gain
To help you forget about your penury state
And to keep you away from your posthaste gains
Yet, continue to prove your mettle to your society
Because I strongly believe that will surely make you mighty
To the magnates and moguls
Continue the hard work to bolster your earns
But when you begin to experience a nosedive and your riches seems floundering
Know that success can just be a flare
And can make you find yourself in a situation that is not dear
Just focus on how to flourish
And never attribute your fall to the acts of witches
And the handicapped I preach
Encourage and believe in yourself
Love yourself and never doubt who you are
Even though the rejection and neglection are horrendous
But I wish you consider them as motivation
To ginger you to be illustrious
Just to change the notion we have about you since creation
However, ignore your debilities and capitalize on your opportunities
To my lovely couples I tell
No condition is permanent
So when your situation begin to go worse, never be demented with worries
But be impervious to several misadventures and see them as ephemeral
During this hard times, never think of quitting
But let your combat be tranquil
So that nobody will ever know your problem
But I surely believe
I everything will be okay in the end, if it's not okay, then its not the end
And the barren I advice
Do not sit still, start moving now
In the beginning, you may not go in the direction you want
But as long you are moving, you are creating alternatives and possibilities
Never go ballistic when society bait you
But look down upon the zillion criticisms
Never be nostalgic sake of your condition or situation
But go only for the happiness offered by nature
And dream that, there are children coming your way for you to nurture
Never let your hope forlorn and forget about your purgatory experience
For it is the gritty that will surely make a difference
Remember,
If you always attach positive
Emotions to the things you want
And never attach negative
Emotions to the things you don't
Then that which you desire most
Will invariably come your way
Because the greatest act of faith some day
Is to simply get up and face another day

It Is Time To Rise

Africa, can rise.
But that is only if we are ready to fight.
And to end our plight,
Our weakness should come to light.
But Africans think is normal?
That our children under five should be dying of malaria.
But I ask, are we proud to be tagged with poverty?
And as a continent with no dignity?
Yes! We have to be in haste,
Because there is no more time to waste.

A people united in faith,
Is stronger than the bombs the enemy will make.
So to our divided Africa, let us mingle,
So that we can become single.
And together,
We can push Africa further.
But I it is only the mulish,
That always want to remain foolish.
So if only we want to be illustrious,
Then Africans should not keep quiet about our nefarious.
And let us not always be clamorous
But rather, be adventurous.
And to our leaders I advise,
You are able to afford iPad,
Meanwhile, our girls at puberty lacks sanitary pad.
So can’t you see your own followers bewailed?
After you promised them ecstasy.
But what happened after they hailed.
Only to realize they were living in fantasy.
We have made them enjoy mansions and cars that are very deluxe.
So I ask, why they won’t relax.
And act, only when they see the body and property of their people, rot and rust,
To form dust.
But Africa must rise.

Mother weeps because her children are so soft and plaint to be fooled
Because we have being used as weapons for coups.
So instead of standing for democracy,
We Africans opt for nothing but autocracy.
But is time we say no to fixity,
To help change our destiny.
And we should also be ready to fulminate the ways of the devil,
And depart from deeds that are evil.
But if we refuse and fold our hands and think of trepidation,
Then we should blame ourselves for the destruction of our nations.

Relationship

Have you being in any relationship
At the beginning of every relationship, our lovers goes like
Baby, I love you
Boo, you are a blessing
Bae, you are my greatest assert
Boo, never will I leave you
I know people even hear more than this from their partners
And that’s mostly at the beginning of every relationship
But if people are to use the incipient stages of their relationship as benchmarks
Then I can boldly say, no relationship will last
Because the first day, month and year in our relationships are best experience we always have
And they are the moments when there is so much love and care
That our lovers would fight and kill for us if anyone dares
That was the moment that our partners were angles sent from God

Soon, we will easily do forget about the sweet relationship we begin
The one that they themselves considered unbreakable
As we saw our love incomparable
But never was it our fault
Except for the ecstasy that made us lost
The ends of these stories are hard to tell
And now be only compared to that of hell
And when they become incompatible
They forget they were once inseparable

But jittery do I feel day in and day out
To see a great fountain cease to function
And a respected monument burnt to ash
With no single artifact left for remembrance
In our visions we see
But we ignores because it wasn’t part our mission
To see our strongest citadel becomes weak
And even that of our voice become meek
The lit of our fire signaled fruition
But the current flames at the end symbolizes futility
Making the longest journey so far become fruitless
Difficult will it always be for we to say Ciao
Because our motives were greater than that
And never did we thought for this unexpected jilt
As we thought our candles that lighten the world will never melt
Our enemies will triumph and rejoice
As long as things continue to devastate
And when nothing seems to circumscribe the situation
Their mood become blissful
For we will be left with nothing but to say goodbye
Yes goodbye

True Friends

****** TRUE FRIEND*****
Yes, indeed you are
You are my brother
Despite our blood and race difference
We met from no where
But it seems we getting some where
Even if it turns not to be a causality
Then our friendship type will be scanty
Hail to the causative if only there is one
For letting me find a true chum like you

I love you my peerless pal
Cuz yov've delivered me from the darkness of loneliness
And making me feel the benefit of togetherness
Not forgetting you saved me from the path of stupidity for opting solitude
But most of all, you are my true friend

I venerate you my dear friend
For the love you've showed me
And forever will I be chuffed to have you
Cuz with you I will unwary
My trust and loyalty will unswerve
Cuz you are nothing but a true friend

You are a quintessence of who a friend is
As you make my nadir become bliss
Because your presence create a mood of delirious
And a state of delirium
Forever will I remain in your debt

Am a stalwart because you made me
For you brought love like I've never known
You are my shelter from troubled winds
And my anchor in life's ocean
Depicting an assurance of safety

You are always strong when am tired and weak
As you always inspire and motivate me to greatness
And under your tutelage, I embrace success and prosperity
So my promise is to always recall your help and support
Above all, you are my true chum

Let's Toss a Coin

There is always two sides of a coin,
Yet, whenever we flip a coin, we always know the side that we hoping for.
But every story has a two side, and so is life.
But we always consider one side that we like,
And forget that, the outcome can be what we dislike,
But such is life.

In every situation, we wants to remain only positive.
So we don’t prepare to meet outcome in case they become negative.
But life, in many situation is dependent on the theory of determinism.
So I suggest, we create, a vacuum, in our lives, for an attitude of negativism.

Blessed,
Blessed is he, who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.
And disgruntled, is he, who expect something, for we might not achieve the expected.
But since we always chooses a side,
We will always become gutted when things doesn’t go our way.
Yet, we should be strong to pick up the coin and toss another day.
And let us not our fall defined or destroy us, nor deterred or defeat us
But it should rather make us strong and strengthened us.
But if only we ready to respect every outcome,
There will be nothing like a stun to make an outcome a thunderbolt.

Hitler once said, everyone can deal victory, but for defeat, only the mighty can bear
But life is just like a tossed coin,
So its outcome shouldn’t be miraculous.
Just that, our nemesis makes we think we will always be vanquished.
And that always makes us sluggish

Many situations are fate worse than death.
That we sometimes consider them as myth.
But despite the catastrophe,
Let us not be disappointed, but let us fight till we lift up our trophy

Let us learn to embrace every outcome with a mirth?
Because that can reduce our pain when we become hurt.
But even if we become disconsolate,
Let us continue to say, it is not too late.
But I think we shouldn’t be dillydally, but be hurry.
To pick up the coin and toss again.
Life is full of uncertainties.

Cuz tomorrow we might be lifting lifting up your trophy

Is time we embrace every outcome with a mirth
To prevent us from becoming mirthless and moron
But it is not wrong to be disconsolated
But I think we shouldn't be dillydally, but be hurry
To pick up the coin and toss again
Because life is full of uncertainties

Our Enemies In Disguise

****OUR ENEMIES IN DISGUISE***
Norman MacClain wrote, "it is those we live and love, and should know, who loot us"
But whether we like it or not they exist
For some are endowment
And others we got after birth
As some existed long even before we came to earth
But yet, we call them best
For they prove to be bona fide, but in reality, they are delusive
Making it is soo easy for us to be deceive

Auden once wrote
"Evil is unspectacular and always human
That shares our beds and eat at our table"
So instead of seeing them as detriment to our livelihood,
We choose to see them as an advantage to our brotherhood

Our enemies are always hypercritical in nature
As their actions makes us hysterical
And except for surgical, the wounds they bring heals not
Is good I am a paranoia
For it will only help me to know my enemy can be my brother

In hard times,
Friendship makes them our only source for canvass
As they fuddle us to drive we away from our success
And pray to always see us in darkness
As they seek nothing but our sadness

They greet us with the name 'Mr Dreamer
Yet they make us quitters of our dreams just like that of Noah
Cuz the positive they chastize
And our nefarious deeds they never criticize

They seek hell for us and locks our gates
 to the heavens
Cuz our failure makes them prosperous and rapturous
And when they dim our illuminated from behind,
Yet, they still deny

For they hate to see us hallowed for our goodworks
And hate to hear the praises for our goodness
This makes them traduce sake of our reputation
Just because of the favour we might get from our nation

But to we,
They are tip-top among all our pals
And seems too venturesome among our chums
So we make them our fiduciary to attain the best
Yet, we get nothing but the worst

They are the same people to spearhead our downfall
And when we fall,
They are the same people to vehemently bewail to share our sorrows
For our praises to them are nothing but a mockery
So they will cease not to hate us unless we find us in the mortuary

And as we exonerate and concentrate for their release
They do nothing but to contemplate for our imprisonment
For to them our help is nothing but meagre
Yet, we still become eager to deliver

But truly I pray
I pray their evil lights always shine
And their diabolic deeds never come to light
Cuz they are relative next to us
And the friends we call them best.

Book: Shattered Sighs
