The Pace of Large Prospect in Tea Abbey

A partly cloudy day befalls the stage;
Actors from left to night remain a page.

In-House Pachyderm

Too large to avoid everyone knows it's here
not wishing to collide they won't stand too near
nor broach the subject they keep it under wraps
Mum's the word keep it under your hat
they all walk 'round it talk around it
they're not blind so what gives
it's unkind to animals and who wants to live
with an elephant in the room
too large to evade it's something they ignore
not wanting to impede but can't close the door
a line they won't cross they'll avoid it at all costs
just sit there and stare
even sweep it under the rug with a broom
but with lumps and bumps that big
how long can they keep on pretending it's not there
the elephant in the room

The Modern Slavery Crisis Must Be Addressed.
Calling on all poets for an urgent meet-up
The Pied Piper has surfaced again in this world.
On this occasion, he is dressed in a Jojo Armani suit.
He never drinks bottled water from the guest tables
He questions the labels, he questions the cell phones
He reacts to the earplug in their ears
It brought on a wave of sadness,
What is this madness? He said under his breath!
He looked across at the audience,
And whisper how convenient!
Stand up, stand up, stand up for your rights
Did this new generation go down without a fight?
No pointed hats, but why so many large heads?
Here ye hear ye, hear ye, have the men and women
This generation sold their souls for honey.
Misery is a life sentence in which love company,
That is why he called the meetup today, per se,
Cats and dogs will never be friends, he said in an unknown language
Timekeepers cannot stop time, time will run out,
Large heads will Strunk because it filled with air,
Great leaders of the world, I welcome you all.
But I am not Bob the builder, I can't shape your future
I am the Pied Piper:

Premium Member A town and farm yarn

There's a little town in Ouyen Vic.'' Under 1200 people so
I'll tell you bout aspects; of it sort'a quick!
There's Clarys slate bush etching, in three d real fine.!
And a little hairdressers that comes to mind.?
The conveniance store.' And theres some more.!
Like the old English banknotes found under
Its timber hall floor.' Also Kingdon chickens thats out a bit'
Where I worked a time 'come to think of it?' There
Was that pet Emu..Dang! I've forgot its name?
It would steal your food, just take it plain.' Away
From your hand, on the way to your mouth!!
Maybe thats the reason i left the South? I reckon
I'll get back there one of these days..And lay a
A fresh sandwich upon that old birds grave.!

Heavy then large

And even how small the Problems are.
When you know you can't Tell your parents, because they will think you see everything bizarre, it makes them larger.
Bigger.
There is no place anymore in your soul.
So you need to make space.
Have space.
C=Control, H=haunted, A= amazed, N= never, G= god, E= empty.
I'll Start with my circle over again, just the way around.
You won't see me in light yellow dresses anymore, just with dark blue Jeans and a pullover, converse shoes won't be my favorite anymore, Friends I will leave, Book I will read, no more responding to romantic sheets.
Indeed I will again Start with a shattered routine, that will cromble one day my life together, how god to other people does.
No more talking and .
Here I am, admitting it.
I will get skinny and won't stop.
That is my final sentence: ,,I won't feel comfort anymore.", there is no comfort to be in when there is no court.

Perfect Path

As I watch the pendulum of the wall clock
Continuously swinging back and forth
A sarcastic smile comes to my lips
To be or not to because of my frustration
From where I came and for what
And what is my ultimate destination
Not sure what to do next, I sit still in a chair
With both arms supporting the chin
Undecided, confused, absolutely unclear
Butterflies hop from one flower to another
Their tummies are full, but still not satisfied
Is not the same predicament facing most of us
Either somewhat less or magnified large
Our complete persona becomes a mirror image
Of what we wish, think, and act
No one can be our tour guide here
Only our consious can show the perfect path

Premium Member Large Tomcat Raises Baby T

The large tomcat had a bad attitude most days for sure
But the baby who had been orphaned looked incredibly pure.
The wolves brought her to his door, begged him to take her in.
He saw her tiny pink face, and the baby quiver on her chin.

Okay! He muttered, but I will not like it one tiny bit!
He gave the wolves a scare, throwing a giant tomcat fit.
They backed off and raced back to the woods to howl their glee.
He brought in the basket and frowned at the baby he named T.

Tee loved the tomcat, he was her mom and her dad.
He was her grandparents too, and he was better than bad.
His blustery attitude and his frown mean ways were a cover, you see.
He was soft and empathetic; he did not want anyone to know except T.

Premium Member The Large Canadian Dollar Coins

Is there an alternative to the large Canadian dollar coins
How about peanuts or coffee beans
Imagine making a deposite at your bank
Of a thousand peanuts or coffee beans at the tellers cage
The teller's cage would have to be much larger
Or the teller would need some kind of protection device
I'm okay really... no really!
Perhaps a bunch of Tylenol a few time a day
That should do it don't you think?

There Was A Heart, As Large As Ocean Skies

Moonstruck magic, from her large bright blue eyes
There was a heart, as large as ocean skies
And I had met an angel pure and true
Garden romantic roses so soon grew
If only life would show her my love gaze
And set beautiful fires flaming in blaze.

If he, there in that soft fancy new suit
Could see my now-born love had taken root
As a grove of delicious apple trees
Searing eager soul, so ready to please
If only, this morn, romance sets its treat
And therein we both Cupid's arrows meet.

Moonstruck magic, from her large bright blue eyes.
There was a heart, as large as ocean skies.

Robert J. Lindley, 9-03-2022
Sonnet

Note:
This was born from a first love encounter back in 1973.
And yes love united two into one, but fate and world's
Many dark temptations eventually tore that blessing asunder.
Youth and blindness, worked to destroy what was golden.

Premium Member Meeting a Large Caracal

Meeting a large caracal
In the middle of the African bush
is something you do not forget

Especially if it has the most beautiful blue eyes
And the largest teeth of any predator you have ever met.
And you are alone without a weapon

And your body is too scared to run
And you wonder if the caracal will begin with your head
Or your back, breaking it so you are helpless
As the eating commences.

Why am I so poor
Oh, you aren't
You have
A family
A house
A car
An occupation
Feelings and love
And there are so many
Poorer
And poorest
You haven't encountered
