Butterfly Effect

I love to go down where they hidden lie
And see them spread their wings up so high.
But if you are down there
Be sure to come up for air
Deep in the bush of the Venus Butterfly!

Not to be confused with the Flytrap
                 but similar!

The web

 A spider awaits a butterfly
As it comes fluttering by
It's caught in the silken trap
and struggles as its wings flap
Battling for survival under blue skies

The spider moves in for the kill
As the butterfly struggles still
 It escapes the silky threads
Soars to freedom with wings spread
As it floats by the daffodils

Once there was a little butterfly
Once there was a little butterfly
Which flew up to the sky
And descended low
On a chocolate cream pie
Away little butterfly
And away she goes
Over the hilly valleys
As the summer wind blows
To a place that is far
And nobody knows
Flapping her bright wings
With purple and blue rings
And disappears again
Like a mid summer dream

Slow Hand

A kaleidoscope of butterflies
passed right before my dilated eyes,
so while the colors blurred by
grabbing at them I did try...
fast little buggers to my surprise!
