Nature in a Mischievous Mood
Early Sunday morning;
nature rattling at the front door!
I accept its clamorous invitation
stepping out with nothing more
in tow than an upturned collar..
and a theatrical imagination.
The morning ground is well-baked pastry,
all crusted with a shiver of winter;
sunlight whispering across the ground
all sharp colour and playfulness.
So I step out, church bells skipping alongside
and light skating off in front of me.
Soon I am within reach of the beach;
my sandy sanctuary,
but nature is in a mischievous mood
the light fluctuating,
its moods shifting,
gloss turning to flat matt.
The sea offers up a cold, blue arm
encouraging me into watery depths
while the sky sits heavily
in a grey leather-weathered armchair.
Behind, peeking through a curtain of cloud
a new season waits to spring into action.

Don't go shopping for prescription glasses
when you're mad at your boss.
You'll end up coming home with
don't f*ck with me glasses
that you'll regret!

Ellington is sitting and tinkling the black and white keys
Coltrane standing and blowing like an autumn breeze
Mood__
Nostalgic, misty-eyed, and feelings of tenderness
Her sweet perfume lingers, her velvety voice echoes, and her sweet caress I cherish
Sentimental__
Relishing, missing, and longing for a distant but not forgotten yesterday
Today, I sit alone. Alone in a sentimental mood as my heart asks, "Why did she have to go away?"
Achoo! Sneeze! I sat up on my knees,
I glare into the darkness, while Claire makes a cup of tea,
Oh please give me some peas, I cried as I sighed,
They took away all of my food and my mood dropped,
They even took away my shoes, but they can’t take away you, but they do!
I screamed in pain, but they think it’s lame,
They took away everything so all was done, but I never gave them my gun!!
I was in a bear of a mood
You need to hibernate my husband said
I thought he needed some refrigeration
Pictured him hanging in a meat cooler
He thought it was me
I knew it was him
We have a saying “when the horse is dead dismount”
This worked for us for a number of years
We are older now
Maybe senile, forgetful
Neither of us would let the issue go
Stirring the other one up like we did when we were young
Maybe we just wanted to feel our juices again
Bathe in something blue,
sail through the sky or the sea.
Positive mood swing.

throw me a pollock
to which others will flock
abstract me a rothko
I can keep on show
better yet see & feel my art
an imaginary part
the midnight hour for me
is somewhat magical and mystical
the moon in all its phases
exudes character and charm
when a mellow hush falls and hovers
the mood lands starry-eyed mysterious
there reigns an enigmatic fascination
with the esoteric world where
what’s spiritual comes to life
and the sky’s veil in its obscurity
blushes with transcendence

Overcast skies bring me down
I need my fix of sunshine
to get me through the day
otherwise my blood is like molasses
and nothing courses through my veins
my mood always in direct relation
to my sunshine exposure
it's high when sunny
blue when it’s not
i hate to be so dependent
when i should have control
but there’s not much i can do
besides what's plainly obvious
in the meantime like a cat
i pounce on sunny days
go outdoors soak in the sun
recharge revitalize renew

I welcome summer,
With my head held high, good mood,
Keeping new image.
i'm in a muppet mood today ~
suffering from a persisting hangover
i woke up silly stuffed and wabbly
goofy looney and scatterbrained
with bulging eyes and a bad hairday
even my voice sounded bizarre

My skin’s made of flowers,
Waiting to blossom in the shade,
Fighting the urge to turn grey,
As they look desperately for—
The summer breeze of tomorrow.
Where their petals ruffle in the wind,
Feeling cold beneath my skin,
I shiver at thought of being alive.
Ladybugs,
On the tips of my fingers—
Grasshoppers,
At the base by my roots—
My body is an ecosystem of renewal.
Glistening morning dew,
Droplets of golden sun,
It feels as if my life has just begun.
My petals may fade with my mood,
My colour may change with the seasons—
But my seeds stay planted.
In the strong soil where I stand,
For I may be stunted for a while,
But my growth will never come to an end.
