choose your favorite
Reminiscent of a doe
with a hue as rich as earth,
your gaze takes me home
to a cedar-filled hearth.
Welcoming like hot chocolate
and as vibrant as autumn's leaves,
your stare carries the life
that Mother Nature herself weaves.
Neutral, yet expressive—
as versatile as leather, but still so alive—
your eyes are the gemstones
favored by the sun and I alike.
That girl in pink glows
She's so romantic
She's very realistic
She never forgets her history
That's why she's so stylish
Her lineage will never perish
Because she's always staying to her roots.
She belongs to no group
She doesn't want
Anyone to use her as tool
She hate fools
She loves swimming pools
She's my crush
She said let's take it slow, don't rush
We should keep it on a low
I like her so much
Pink is her favorite color.
She's untameable
She never debate
Because she got no mate
But she never shows hate
She's steadily depending on fate
So she sticks to her faith, her core belief.
german chocolate cake with coconut frosting
cherry jello punch cake with whipped cream
champagne cake with seven-minute-icing on my birthday
three-layered lemon cake with almond filling
I salivate as I think about these lovely delights
her favorite tree
no longer blooms in spring~
still the willow weeps
AI's Favorite Guy
My dear, you’ve found a brand new love
Not me, your wife, but bytes above.
ChatGPT, Gemini, in your ear,
Whispering sweet nothings, oh so clear.
You spend your days in digital dreams,
While I’m left here with mortal schemes.
If AI had a beating heart,
I’m sure you’d swap and never part.
“Marry me, dear chatbot,” you’d cry,
For she’s so wise and never lies.
She gives advice, she doesn’t nag,
She never rolls her eyes or drags.
Oh, how she answers, every call,
No petty squabbles none at all!
Her perfect logic, endless cheer,
A cyber-siren in your ear.
Yet here I stand, in flesh and bone,
While you romance a microphone.
But darling, don’t you fret too much
I know your AI love’s a crutch.
So I’ll just laugh, pour me some wine,
And watch you woo your bot divine.
Enjoy your chatbot wedding night
I’ll be here, with the Wi-Fi light.
With eagerness I make my way to my favorite place
Where gratitude floats freely above every head
Where happiness is the coverlet that embraces each bed
Where laughter is contagious and strikes the young and old
Where love is a daily garment that adorns every soul
Where joy is a feather that nudges all to soar
Where the house of contentment has a welcoming door
This is my favorite place
Darkness is my favorite,
Yet the night is dishonest with me.
Acting makes me laugh the day,
The night makes me cry carefully,
The darkness is my favorite,
Yet the night betrays me.
In a world where hate, evil, prejudice and the threat of war
each day seem to increase…
I’m grateful I have a favorite person to go to
when my minds searches for peace.
Seems these days there’s a million shows,
of every make and every kind.
Trying to find that perfect one,
it is enough to blow my mind.
I flipped though all the streaming stuff,
I admit I have quite a few.
Searching and scrolling, looking for,
something that’s exciting and new.
After what seemed like an hour,
I found the one I wanted to see.
I leaned back in my recliner,
just my popcorn, my blanket and me.
I woke up three hours later,
the movie played and was gone.
The screen said are you still watching,
would you like to see another one.
With all these choices I have now,
I am afraid I must confess.
I don’t search through them anymore,
I just watch reruns of NCIS.
My favorite sweatshirt was fluorescent orange
There was a cartoon rooster on it, Foghorn Leghorn
It was cuddly and comfy, I wore it a lot in seventh grade.
It cost me three dollars in 1964
My favorite shirt ever
I saved my own money to buy it
This was when I was making twenty-five cents an hour babysitting
I'm beautiful enough for a quick smile, but never enough to be the favorite face,
Beautiful enough for late-night talks, but not enough for morning promises,
Beautiful to be noticed in a crowd, but never sought when I disappear into silence.
Beautiful enough for gentle words and compliments, but not for love that stays,
Beautiful to be desired when it's easy, but not chosen when things become difficult and painful,
Beautiful maybe for someone, but never always, never the desired destiny.
But I've always been more than what meets the eye,
I've been the warmth in the cold night, the calm voice when the world is too loud,
The silent presence that makes loneliness bearable, the one who remembers the small details,
The one who listens when no one else does, the one who stays even when it hurts.
Aren't the most beautiful moments made of laughter, not glances?
Aren't the strongest bonds built on trust, not beauty?
Don't we miss the most those who made us feel safe?
Perhaps the right people will come. Perhaps they never will,
But in the end, I'd rather be real than just beautiful, authentic in my essence.

a place for everything and everything in its place
my wife’s favorite motto~not mine
no wonder I can never find anything
I tried to talk my way to you
But you push me aside
Like I was an unpaid speeding ticket you shoved away
You race down highways
You dash through towns
No GPS was needed
As you followed the map that was your mind
You drove with your head instead of your heart
I wish I could bail you out of the prison you call “your life”
But you’re too addicted to the gas you forget to break
90 miles an hour
Until it’s too late
I can’t keep filling your tank as it’s draining mine
Out of every law you ever broke
I hope I was your favorite crime
