Ya Got Me

Blood shot eyes falling to the floor
Always due to wanting more
Cascading lips speak of pleasure
Whispers digging for treasure

Turmoil is water from which I sip
Scales of life slowly tip
Over onto their side
As this mirror tries to confide

Grasping for site
With wings of flight
Holding the hands of night and day
Trapped by what fate decides to say

Unsure of everything
That nothing may bring
This chorus I sing
With this puppet on a string

Notes ring and rhyme within my head
Sent from voices who are dead
Conjured love everlasting
Inside verbs continue fasting

Perhaps the last of the first
Decorating with pebbles in a Hurst
Pictures hung with silence of wisdom
Inside the lines I've missed them

Gone array they carry away
Teeth that dance and sway
Chatter and play in fields of distance
Snapshots of my conscience in resistance

Futile wishes with kisses felt
Melting sorrow from knees always knelt
Glories praise prayers of pondering
Walk with me down this road of wondering

Casting ripples inside this lake of stone
Narrow shoulders with fragile bones
I spy the lie im trying to find
Shoved away swept aside behind
