The day before today, there was another me,
another me less lonely, another me free.
The day before today, when once there was
liberty, I was a creature of the ocean, my days
and nights asea.
The day before today, I ride the tube of the perfect
wave, gliding in naturalbliss, its’ surges and swells
remind me of how magical nature is.
The day before today, in the dark oceans I dived,
living off natures abundance, fishing to survive.
The day before today, life was much more sane, for
now I am fettered; my freedom I await to attain.
Today is today, I am far away from my yesterday, I am
where I am, I await the day before today.
