My Soul, Crouching

Crouching beneath the oak tree, The calico cat waits. A happy squirrel frolics above. Then, the predator springs into action. Enjoying peace beneath the oak tree. Raking the leaves, happy hopes rise. Prayerfully remembering God above. Embracing Mother Earth. Watching butterflies in action – Life colors, like the calico cat, decorate. God’s bountiful blessings flood my heart. Fragrance springs thoughts to the past. Nostalgia frolics into my imaginings – Then, come recollections. Reality never waits for happiness. Dreading the predator. Joy flees like a squirrel escaping. My soul, crouching, cries. © March 15, 2012 Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen

Danie you must use ALL the words in the first 4 lines in order so you have missed a few [Crouching...] [waits..] [a happy...] [frolics above..Then] [springs into action] you have time expand the write using the missing words in the order they appear in line 1-4. Light & Love

Debbie, You must have read it as soon as I posted it. I accidentally posted the working draft! LOL I noticed it shortly thereafter, after I entered the contest, when I had gone back to post a slight revision that I had posted the wrong one. I made the corrections. You must have caught it just before that. I posted the completed poem as I had intended to do in the first place. Later, I found your comment. Don't worry, I had double checked to make sure all of the words were used...and they were.
