Life Is a Highway

Life is a highway, a serpentine, curving road, that is not easy or what you envision. The way tangled and entwined with hardships, each way has doctrines with repercussions. You never can imagine the dangers or the happiness, and in my reverie, my daydreaming and simplicity. I recollect the innocent child that was and is me, oh, to return to a time of freedom, purity and naivete. ___________________________ September 4, 2012 Poetry/Rhyme/Life Is A Highway Copyright Protected, ID 09-418-302-04 All Rights Reserved, 2012, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, Life is . . . A masterful write my friend! You have shown true talent within this incredible piece here! I truly love the winding road of life, and the hardships and repercussions as you so eloquently put it, they are so present in every aspect of life! But there are the happy moments as well, joyful things within life, daydreaming and freedom to do as you please! You speak the truth within your poem...Awesome Work!!
