Life Is a Highway
Life is a highway, a serpentine, curving road,
that is not easy or what you envision.
The way tangled and entwined with hardships,
each way has doctrines with repercussions.
You never can imagine the dangers or the happiness,
and in my reverie, my daydreaming and simplicity.
I recollect the innocent child that was and is me,
oh, to return to a time of freedom, purity and naivete.
