I wanted to let you know..I feel I stink at this haiku form...I'm trying to work on it! I didn't even know I wasn't supposed to punctuate or capitalize or name them until a few days ago. SO, I'd appreciate all the help I can get...on my haiku it was a stinky pond in spring but a pristine skating pond in winter..I was trying to do juxtaposition & show not tell...did I?

Very descriptive Haiku, Hai Au Chu. My Haiku about the 5pointed red thing is a sweet gum tree that turns sometimes red a very dark burgundy red or sometimes yellow in the fall. It has these little round ball that contain the trees seeds and squirrels do eat them. It is suppose to tell about fall or autumn without saying the words fall or autumn. There is a contest. I am just writing some to try out . Keep writing. Sara
