Gently, An August Night
I trace an August nightfall when the mist
Wheels oh so gently down the woods
Embracing all the fields, the shooting grass
In yellow, green contrasts.
When all around the summer lamps are cast
A tiara of hues, so warm
Kids resting on the cushion, dreams on flight
After tag fest’s delight.
And high above, across a thousand stars
The breeze clears air through puffing clouds
While blissful heart sips flavors of this day
To mildly glide away.
