For Kayleigh

The doorbell rings and there you stand With cheeky smile on lips and in your eyes Long ginger hair contained by Alice band Unbridled joy I feel is not disguised No age since you came upon this earth An oasis in the storm of life’s woes Too young were you to see or feel the hurt Not knowing that to God one love must go We gave you all our love and then gave more Did not regret one second of that time You repaid our love one thousand times o’er You made our world a haven so sublime I see you now leave your youth behind And amaze with the passing of each year You will always in our memory be enshrined Granddaughter fair truly loved so dear 7th in Contest Sponsored by: Linda-Marie The Sweetheart of P.S.
