Fire and Ice-2
Fire and Ice
‘One hundred years of solitude’
What a way to begin it with
Its hero facing fire, to recall
The day he first saw ice.
One school of logic ***** goes thus:
‘Smoke comes out of fire. From mountains
Comes smoke. So, mountains, even
snow capped, should contain fire.’
Fire and ice are that way linked
To literature and logic.
Would I be wrong to think :
If literature is fire, logic is ice.
