Gert you should enter this in that haiku contest and just say a constant dark rain to fit in the word dark. Maybe you don't do the contests? Anyway, it is already beautiful how it is! Luv, Andrea

Your haiku makes me feel grateful that hurricane season is over until June First. You wouldn't believe the flooding we see here and I love the way you described rain falling from "leaden clouds" as they truly look that way. Your poem also reminds me of the photos you showed me of the rainstorm a few months ago in Germany. Also concur with Catie's suggestion below. (Garden sounds similar in all three languages.)
