Senryu 9 - Clay

in the potter's hands
a lump of clay is transformed...
                                                    an object of worth

Kim, Once again, we find ourselves trapped in the Holiday Season. And, hear I am stopping by to say Hi and to wish you a Merry Christmas once again sincerely from my heart. Loving each moment I found comforting here on the soup. Thank you for any comment or support you have offered now or in the past. Love always & forever ~ PD

Reminds me of Gene McDaniels singing A Hundred Pounds Of Clay. Nice poem.

I once took a pottery class, and my lump of clay.....well..........not sure it was worthy to anyone but myself by the time I was done....but the experience and pleasure I had was worth a million dollars!! :) Nicely done, Kim!

I like that one, feels like it has proper secondary meanings, the potter as a mentor, the clay is a pupil, very nice.

This is all true Kim. In the Potter's hand we become a piece, of great value. Best wishes and one love. Joy Wells

to breathe some life into clay is nice, when the eye percieves a treasure..

This is a truly amazing Senryu Kim! I really enjoyed the creativity you exuded within this incredible poem, a fine example of a clever write! The clay assumes the form the potter desires, from which it gains its worth, a beautiful sentiment! I just love this piece, Great Work!!
