Remembering when - Contest

I remember when:
Manners were important
Simple things like please and thank you
Giving up your seat for someone elderly
As a lady doors were held open too.

I remember when:

I remember when:
Taxi drivers opened their doors for you
not stay sitting by the wheel
Streets were clear of litter,
Life was for living, not surreal.

I remember when:
Mobile phones weren’t in existence
People went out of their way to contact you
You could eat a meal without interruption
Writing a letter was a pleasure too

I remember when:

Russell it wasnt so long ago when manners were important, they were instilled into myself and my sisters, once attained you never forget them. if only the children of today were encouraged to use them. I know some parents do teach them, i just hope that the children never forget them....Seren
