Eternal Breath

Eternal Breath
                                     Standing by his side
                                             at 445 am.
Softly playing 'I Will Remember You'
                                      his favourite song.

                                Gently caressing his brow.
I tell him to go to Jesus, the pain will be
gone, and don't worry our son's
                                       will watch over me.

                                    Three gentle breaths.
Complete peace comes over his face.
He's gone then to the heavenly shores.

                                     Anne Rutherford

It truly is a gift to us to be there when they go. To witness grace upon their face is God letting us know. That angels have picked up our friend. And that this isn't the soulful end. Peace. :) But you expressed that so well with your faithful prose.

i too am sure, he's right there with you, the babe doesn't leave, his sweet baby blue, so smile for you know, though time passes too, true lovers are joined, when the veil parts for you. Don re Anne Rutherford " Eternal Breath"

but He hasn't gone very far away, our loved ones linger still, the wistful watcher this i say, has love in his heart , until, the coming end of days, yet, togetherness is willed...
