Very nice, Deb, and thanks for your comment on the last line of my haiku. I showed my "haiku nut" friend some of my latest haiku, and she said, "pretty but not haiku. No personification for haiku, Andrea" GRRRR hahaha Luv, andrea

'Sing hallelujah' indeed, Cher!...my favorite speech of Dr. King's was the one he made in Memphis right before his assassination...Tim

Doris, you'd be amazed at other "groups" who are far more oppressed than women. Granted- I have been there 1st hand in the Navy, but Hispanics, folks from the Middle East, African American men, and especially Arab men are extremely oppressed in this country. It isn't right. None of it.

good write, I started life after all the desegregation so I know no other life. Though I can see why some had to fight the system. And women had to fight for there rights. Women still need to stand up more for themselves. We are more oppressed than other groups.
