We weren't searching for wild-berries or squirrels to chase; a spirit of adventure was guiding us in between places the sun rays didn't reach properly, like two hundred meters below, from the ocean's surface. As the sun set in the horizon, we had already reached our homes; clothes filled with leaves and dirt, and our eyes radiating with curiosity; it's as though the sun had carried with it mysteries that blossomed to wonders. We had found our true selves in places adults would cry out for help, imagining the dread that follows darkness of the night in a thick forest.
