Somewhere In the Sky
Somewhere in the sky the clouds start to gather, Beginning to get dark one hot summer day; Few trees thirsty in the dry barren land Are hoping for water after the searing sun's ray. Somewhere in the sky the moon moves the tide, On one side so high while on the other so low; As the wind coming from the eastern part Or even from a place up north does blow. Somewhere in the sky the stars start to sparkle, Shining light beyond the dark from far away; They twinkle to turn bad dreams or nightmares Into a day of crimson far beyond blue and gray. Somewhere in the sky I suddenly hear the thunder, Following a flash of lightning from the storm; With a loud sound sowing fears to my heart, I wear my coat in the cold to keep me warm. Somewhere in the sky the birds are singing, Chirping, soaring so high and so fast flying; Beneath their wings is the wide blue ocean Where fishes freely swim across, then found dying. Somewhere in the sky invisible eyes are wide open, Watching the hidden and secrets people keep; They are awake twenty-four hours a day While men are at work or dreaming in deep sleep. Those eyes can easily read not only the mind But also the heart that says hello or goodbye; Let me set my sight on what is yet to be seen, Let me live forever somewhere in the sky.
