The Sky
I saw a glimpse of gold while flying in the sky. I saw a glimpse of life while flying in the sky, I saw a glimpse of serenity while flying in the sky, I saw a maddening joy in the sky, I felt a never experienced delight in the sky, As if the sun had spread a golden carpet for me to walk on the rustling white silk clouds, As if the clouds had come together to form mountains for me to climb, As if the sky showed some extra shades of blue to decorate the royal heavenly ceiling, I felt, as if a veteran painter had painted this magnificent scene to mesmerize my wondrous eyes. Thousands of feet above the land, I felt more at home, in the sky. The Sky - where there is no limit to rise, Where the evening gold of the sun melts and the diamond studded blacks of the night sky rule the world. With such great comrades who would never leave my side, I felt more at home high above. I felt more connected to the immortal sun painted with hues of red, the silver moon that never fails to glow, the clouds stretched as the carpets of heaven, Than to the dynamic, duplicitous mortal beings. My freedom, I realized. Blessed are the birds who stay high above and cherish the luxuries of nature.
