Rivalry
Friends and foes, Wit that flows, Down the rope will you go, As the time goes, And then you start to see, Rivalry is not something one seeks. Take Leonardo and Michelangelo as an illustration, And as a lesson to keep, Both were engineers and painters, Extraordinary in their fields, And respected by all men throughout the land, They were competitors, For had they put their geniuses to use together, Science would be a whole new topic known aground, But rivalry for the best man known, Led the men to great macabre of being embarrassed everywhere around. Once a group stitched between introspection, Sitting beside the capricious river, Puzzled and deep in thought, Asked for help from Leonard Da Vinci, Passed by the great Michelangelo, And an offer was in Leonard's mind, He asked him to help these people out, But the witty man replied without no second thought addressing his mind Thinking it was a trap to demean him, And prove that Vinci was inordinate than him, He said that this offer he would decline, Cause it was Leonardo who had been summoned, And because he wasn't able to figure it out, To escape embarrassment he was to have, He had asked him out. Fought as they did the people stood quizzed, Who would fall at the end of the precarious debate thrown out? It was meaningless all knew, But to prove who was astute, They just had to, Like little cats fighting for a ball, They fought all day and through out all the people watched, Tired and worn out all headed to their homes, Stood there were Leonardo and Michelangelo, Still astound at the enquirers pitched at them from all around, Like when rivers meet Rapids are formed, But in the end they calm down, They left their thoughts at the ground, And left for homes like little kittens, Wanting to go home on a cold night and desiring their mothers warmth, They retreated back faced into the darkness of the night, And later continued to fight!
