Nightmares of His Children
Grandson must you grieve so? Over trivial dreams, it seems no. Bolder dreams unlike things men do are but thought and cannot harm you. Ah, but as a boy grows older into his nights will come thing colder yet your anguish and your fright are not for things in dreams at night or your brave thoughts fresh as dew find you at night and prove untrue. No matter child your dream- dreams are not what they might seem. Woe or wonders of youthfulness are so seldom self-suppressed. Brush your tears away child fall back to your sleep mild. Scream out from dreams no more for it's myself for which I morn for. For dreams of dreams not reached are old men's nightmares unleashed. Old ghosts, of old goals, old men see as vivid as visions be. So let your night dreams not turn grim until you're old enough to fear them.
