Some Kind of Angel
There's no need to pretend... I've never been a saint. I'm open to what's tainted, aching to start a war. You can't understand how I'm used to being wrong, hands in a pocket full of red paint. Could I be strong enough to make you love what you didn't see the first time? I'm betting I'm weak, in my dreams the bottle speaks to me like a song. I'm running and running, thrilled by the chase and too busy to make things right... The nights are long enough to make me stop believing there're reasons to fight, cause hearts to ache. They burn, all those meanings. I won't love you where you stand, my restless pride be a sin. But I'd roam forever so I can look for you again. I'm no good after the rain. Some things never leave, some stains are forever. I won't give you anything but a moment of gladness that to you I'm an angel that flew far enough to never fade.
