The Battle of Valleymore
The forest was dark but echoed with sound as the orcs and the goblins horns blew all round. Their forces they gathered to scour the land and to smite all resistance, to bring down their hand. The elves of Valleymore and the men of Rasseine prepared for the onslaught as their armor did gleam. The orcs and the goblins were joined by trolls and marched their great army before the stronghold. The arrows did fly and the ballista’s smashed as they released their great missiles through the smoke and the ash. The evil army swooned but in numbers were too great as they pressed their attack and crashed through the gates. The swords and the axes were swung in defiance and the fate of the world rested on the alliance. The men and the elves fought with great valor but their defeat would soon come as they were stripped of their power. They retreated to the bowels of the great castle keep as the children ran screaming into the halls of the deep. All is lost, all is lost the widows did wail as the brothers in arms before the hordes fell. Soon the keeps defenses were broken and smashed and the hordes poured through, in their final blood dash. But wait, what is that sound? The sound of trumpets as the dwarves gathered round. The dwarves and the wizard had answered the call and the orcs and the goblins started to fall. A blinding light flashed and the thunder did roll as the mighty wizards’ power started taking its toll. The evil hordes then threw down their arms and fled for their lives before the oncoming storm. The city was saved and the evil was gone and the men told their tales and the widows sang songs.
