Never should I have seen your face again. Never should I have stared in to your eyes, oh so beautifully clear and dear-eyed, my friend. Just one more time is all I could wish. And yet by miracles, a fate so large it could only have come from one place. I grabbed it, this miracle, and our hearts collided. Joyful was I to gaze upon your face one more time, to look in to your eyes staring back at me so kind. Our hands touched oh so gently. They clung, they clasped a little more than friendly. We smiled as our hearts opened beyond anything felt before or words unspoken. And we learned to breathe with one another. Steps we took, in synchronicity, we remained together. Yes, it was a beautiful life we had of days made of sunshine and sometimes rain. Promises never to walk away in pain, we kept and followed thru to each and every tomorrow.
