The Hidden Stone
I sit and the world spins I look but all is black I hold it all in deep inside where it hides and waits waits to be tried and the cages rattle and the bars strain and the lock groans but it's all in vain as it searches and seeks seeks to be set free searches for a key and in my wall the cracks start to run spider webs streaking racing across across my wall across my cage across my soul and the lock crumbles and the bars fail and the wall falls and I am left standing standing naked exposed laid out bare and the eyes start searching creeping over and under prying feeling learning stealing and I I sit still I sit awash in the feeling at times it tingles at times it burns at times it cuts and I tremble at each stroke at each touch at each discovery as strange eyes gaze at my world the newness mixes with fear and the fear flows through my head and the tingle numbs my thoughts as the burning scorches my skin and the knife cuts across the patches are ripped apart and there in the center there amidst it all there hidden for so long sits a stone a heart that no longer beats the eyes look with wonder as their stare pierces the rock and the cracks come fast now splintering spidering racing through the stone as it breaks apart
