Warm
I want to see light without burning my eyes, or having to squint, and adjust - to stare at the sun without fear of consequence, to feel its warmth in the back of my mind, to wonder how it could be so bright, and to feel a different kind of agony, one brought about by the marvel of something amazing. I've seen it trickle off the crests of waves, and make rays in the forest through canopy cracks. I've seen its breath through the backs of clouds, how it warms the color of all that which occupies the sky, how it melts the snow on the ground and gives life to the plants. Let's look to the source in a perfect world whereas gazing upon such resplendent light neither burns, nor blinds, but illuminates as it has with the waves, and the sky, and the whole of the planet on which we dwell... in a perfect world, where such things are tangible that we can handle them, wrap ourselves in them, make them ours to have and to hold, without ever having to let them go. I dream of such places, where I may find the light I so deeply long for, where my eyes can take it in to the brink, where limits are gone, and gone, and gone.
