Christmas
Thank you for today, live and gleeful, It's about the baby full of youth, Born somewhat not the portal, Although a star signed by truth. Given to many, not just a few, Shepherd common attended him, Valid by the magi with the cue, Angels descended upon his kin. But he was born not on his own, Rather, born beside John, the Baptist. Best friend, he would tell, blown, Jesus’ worth and character, twist. He did not claim to be god - A god, some god, or them - but rather, Deferred to silence somewhat odd, To communicate the truth, the aether. I believe this baby means Christmas, Merriment, happiness and joy; The tree n’ tinsil warming the fireplace, Until everyone becomes loud, ahoy. Presents open one by one wonderful The turkey not large enough to number With the tree so spritely and beautiful No word said against the tumbler Who’s that coming in, the threshold? Children focussed upon the dawn: Red cheeks phrase the chat foretold, Relaxed, the sparkle rests the bon. Aware of differences of truth - view, We remember the baby Jesus hidden Waiting to greet worlds that cue Having cue ready, completed, bidden The text is within ancient culture, The script is a text to me; Ancient life within the sculpture, Of contextualisation's glee. Jesus was a son to Joseph, Thus the concept father n’ son. Question was: was he cenotaph To Joseph, or just, or shove, a Jon? The trinity shows anthropomorphism, Each tricep as mineralogically denoted; It’s me who loves with humanism, It’s the father who emits truth connoted. Jesus yelled as a baby good, Excelled as a youth at the temple - Jewish. Stirred Jewish anger, hood, Served until caught, to sample. The Greek and Roman gods boasted, Dying and rising gods at that time. Emperor god-likes on earth roasted, But died for what they did - crime. Texts of them are in the gospels You can read them, if you like Because Christmas equality spells Meek, strong, or high and low alike The lower classes born poor, Do not end as subordinate workers. Working, the ladder is the door, Of citizens announcing markers. Merry Christmas to all, each I ring the bell of human choice And toast you with warmth, speech For free expression and voice. The silver balls come down, Decorations are back in the box, Chocolates are devoured to crown, So it’s time for New Year hocks! Dominique Webb
