Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required I love you are the words I want to say, when I can see you for even a second. miss your gentle kisses on forehead, the hugs which assured me that, everything gonna be alright. Now the days are loud and dusty, with explosives all around. And the nights? I forgot how it looked with stars and the moon. Dad/mom,I cry myself to sleep, so i can see you atleast in my dreams, playing with you , games, my friends have taught me. But I wake up in the middle, with scary monsters eating me up. Look around me to find you, but all I see other kids like me, scared and shivering in their sleep. Then I just gaze in to the night sky through the tattered shelter above, with teary eyes. People ask me that do I miss you ? my lips gets stuck ,my eyes water and my soul cries. They ask me about future and dreams. I had a dream to build things, now just am collecting my shattered pieces of my heart and soul. I pray to god everyday,to bring you back to me. You said the world outside is huge, beautiful and people are kind. Is that true? People can kill you,without really Killing you. please come back,will let go off ice-creams and chocolates, wont trouble you, will study and do homework. And tell mom,that i will be obedient and take care of my little sister. I'm ten but has pain and wisdom of a 1000 yr old. can you please ask a question for me to god, what does war bring to the world. Tell him that I have lost everything and ask what have they gained? PS:This poem is an attempt to present the thoughts and turmoil kids faced during and after war(could be any war in their country) and not to hurt or wrong anyone.Hope this poem did justice and would like the readers to share their opinion.
