Androgynous Poems

You Dress You

The society has dictated us enough.
What a man should wear and what a woman can
How to dress and how one can’t
“That is not how girls dress!”

Androgynous Angel- a Tribute

Androgynous Angel in white
Wings of satin about to take flight
like some Space Oddity
searching for a bit of life.

If only…

If only we thought more kindly,
Allowed the warrior to be daring,
The maternal to appear diffident,
The endowed virtue as oneness.

For where is it said
That man is only this,

to light the fire within, a joy,
the other side of the veil,
androgynous, part girl, part boy,
as are indeed the angels,
as Adam was, before sweet Eve departed,
searching for, longing for the broken hearted,
born decision to employ, as male or female,
partener of the balance sheet,
