The most important name of God in the Old Testament (Ex 3:14)
It can be translated “I AM WHO I AM”
For Jews as well as Christians
It designates the one God of the whole world
Their creator. Preserver
Covenant partner, liberator from slavery in Egypt
Judge and Savior.
